Previously I wrote about LiberKey: collection of portable computer software. Here I write about another application, WinPenPack. WinPenPack is an application environment of free portable softwares which are modified for being run and used from a USB drive, without any installation process. Means it does not require any type installation on host computer and also they do not modify any settings in the host computer.

WinPenPack suites come in a variety of editions, namely Essential, Flash 2 GB, Flash School, Flash Game, Flash Web, and an option to make your own. You can also download individual applications. The offerings include a wide range of categories from office, Internet, graphics, multimedia, and development to security, system, and utilities.

WinPenPack can be used both from USB drive or hard disk and in both cases there is no need to install the applications. Some of the popular application that comes with the essential pack are Open Office, Sumatra PDF, Sticky notes, Filezilla, Firefox, GIMP, Thunderbird, Pigdin, Disk Cleaner, 7Zip and many more. Once you insert the USB drive into a USB port of host PC, user will have immediately available a collection of pre-configured and ready to use programs, subdivided in categories and executable through a practical menu, analogue to Windows menu Start.
