Windows Live Planet is a Microsoft India’s new social networking site. It allows you to connect with your friends or even chat to your friends online, make new friends and connect with them instantly. Windows Live Planet is similar to most of the other social networks, but is totally different in design and User Interface.

The details about the site like when it was launched are not available at this time but it is linked from MSN India page.

You can connect to Windows Live Planet with your windows live ID or Hotmail ID. You can invite your friends from other social networks such as Facebook, My Space, LinkedIn, Hi5,etc. Also you could search for friends using various criteria and add them to your network.

There is a feature called Scribble Pad which is very similar to Scrap book feature in Orkut. You can scribble your friends and each scribble can be up to 150 characters in length.

Windows Live Planet is not only specific to India, you can register from anywhere. It is not clear when they launched it in India and couldn’t find any source related to that.
