Trend Micro HouseCall: Free Online Virus and Spyware Scanner

logoTrend Micro HouseCall is a very useful online application for scanning your computer for viruses and spywares. It is a virus, spyware and malware scanner that you can access through your web browser. It is free and thus perfect for those who don’t want to pay for installing an antivirus program on their computers. Trend Micro’s scanner is relatively fast and requires no installation. You can run it directly on your browser.

All you need to do is just visit this website and click on Free Scan link. It works on all Microsoft Windows (98, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista and Windows 7), Linux, and Solaris operating systems. It supports Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) 6.0 or later, Mozilla Firefox 1.5 or later and Camino 1.0 or later.

When you click on Free Scan button, it shows two options for scanning: scan complete computer and scan selected folder (see below screenshot).

I think this is a great online application for scanning your computer for viruses without any antivirus software installed.
