Microsoft’s employee Stephen Rose said on a company blog today, “The [Release Candidate] download program closes August 15. After that, you won’t be able to get the download, but you can still install the RC and get a key if you need one”.

Microsoft launched Windows 7 RC, the final public preview of the upcoming operating system, on May 5. At the time, Microsoft said that the RC would be available at least through July, a change from its policy earlier in the year, when a download cap on the beta overwhelmed the download servers on opening day.

So if you have not downloaded Windows 7 RC build, it’s time to grab your copy. So hurry up and download your copy now.

According to the latest blog post on the WordPress development blog, the release date for WordPress 2.8 has almost been confirmed; the target date for releasing WordPress 2.8 is 10^th June.

Release Candidate 1 (RC1) of WordPress 2.8 is now available for downloads. According to the Official WordPress blog this may be the final RC released before WordPress 2.8 is released.
