If you have a personal computer and you are using Windows 7, probably you haven’t assigned a password for your user account. When you start a computer, the boot process will stop at the welcome screen and you need to hit enter or click on your user account picture to see the desktop.

How to skip Windows 7 welcome/login screen?

1. Type netplwiz in Start menu search box and hit enter.
2. Under User Accounts dialog box, uncheck the box named Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.
3. Click Apply button to see Automatically Log On dialog box. If you have a password for your user account, simply enter the password and click ok. If you don’t have a password for your account, simply click Ok.
4. Restart your computer to see the changes.
5. You are done.
