Microsoft has launched new search engine – Bing.com. It would give a new approach to user experience and intuitive tools to help customers make better decisions and it would be focusing initially on four key vertical areas- making a purchase decision, planning a trip, researching a health condition or finding a local business.

Bing is a new Decision Engine and consumer brand, providing customers with a first step in moving beyond search to help make faster, more informed decisions.

It will be available to American users next Wednesday, 3 June, and UK users should have access to a beta version.

The new search engine has a number of innovative features, the main one being what Microsoft calls the Explorer pane on the left hand side. When you search for things, the Explorer pane finds results for related searches. This should be a big help for less experienced searches who aren’t adept at querying search engines.
