Twitter Gadget puts Twitter right into a Gmail account. This makes it possible to access Twitter directly from Google Mail. The installation of Twitter Gadget is very easy and takes less than a minute to complete.

For adding the Twitter Gadget to your Gmail account refers the following procedure:

1. Login to your Gmail account, Click on Settings tab and go to Labs. Enable “Add a gadget by the URL” option and click on Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.
2. Click the green Labs icon on the top right of your Gmail account after you’ve logged in.
3. Click on Gadgets and add the following URL:                                                                                                       http://twittergadget.com/gadget_gmail.xml

4. Click Add and the Twitter Gadget will appear on the left hand side menu of your Gmail account.

5. Log into your Twitter account via the gadget and you can now tweet to your content via Gmail.

A Twitter module will be displayed in the Gmail sidebar on the left side showing the last Twitter messages which are divided into the default view, replies, directs, favorites and everyone.

A click on each tab loads the contents on the same page. It is furthermore possible to display the contents of Twitter Gadget in the main pane of Gmail which gives the user much more space to work with.
