9 October 2009No Comment

TransTaskbar is a tiny and free windows utility which allows you to make Windows Start Menu and Taskbar transparent. It might be very useful if you are using Vista or Windows 7 but can’t enjoy the aero interface because of low graphics card or if you are using XP and want to get some transparency effects.

This utility is created by one of the deviantart member Solo-Dev.

For applying the transparency, all you need to do is to download the zip file from the download link below, extract it, run the TTB-UI.exe file, drag the slider to your desired value and click on Apply button. It will immediately make the Taskbar and Start Menu transparent.

The zip file also contains a TTB.exe file, which a command-line version of this application.

You can open a Command Prompt window and use TTB.exe in following format:

TTB transparency_value

For example, if you want to set transparency to 30, use following command:

TTB 30
