First Impression is a free and lightweight image viewing application that utilizes as much screen as possible for displaying images without cluttering it with the viewer’s own interface. One good thing about this application is that the output image is resized and/or cropped automatically according to the screen resolution.

All functions can be performed by right-clicking the image or through keyboard shortcuts. You can scroll with the mouse to view images that are too big to fit on screen, such as panoramic images (unless you choose fit to window, in which case the images will be forced to fit).

Features:

  • No Unnecessary UI – First Impression abandoned standard UI elements to give images largest space. All its features can be reached via a right-click context menu instead.
  • Easy Navigation – You can easily navigate through image files in a folder, using the Space and Back-space key.
  • Fast Displaying – Image loading and displaying are optimized to provide the best possible speed.
  • Unicode Support – First Impression can load images from any exotically named files and folders.
